Logitech Smartdock now Supports Dual Monitor

Exciting news for the Logitech Smartdock: The new update, version 3, for the Skype Room System includes dual monitor support and themes. We’ve been having a little play with it today, and its all pretty impressive. Obviously in a meeting room situation you would have two same-size screens alongside each other. The dual monitors mean the users can see and communicate with all meeting participants on one screen, whilst sharing content and collaborating on the second screen.     This is a great new feature, which updates automatically as part of the windows...

Demo facility featuring the new Logitech SmartDock now open

Back in October we announced we were moving to new office/demo facilities in Newmarket. We are delighted to announce that the demo facility is now open and ready for appointments. The demo facility showcases meeting and conference room solutions including the brand-new Logitech SmartDock. The SmartDock is a collaboration between Logitech and Microsoft. It is designed to transform regular Skype for Business meetings into conference/meeting rooms. Essentially it is a dock that turns a Surface Pro 4 into a centralized communication hub that can be connected to your existing video displays and video cameras certified for Skype for Business. The stylish SmartDock is designed to make it as easy of possible for an attendee to join a meeting. There is a motion sensor on the front bezel so the unit will wake up from sleep mode when someone walks into the conference room. When a room receives an invite to a Skype for Business meeting, the meeting will appear on the Surface Pro screen. An attendee simply touches the meeting to join. SmartDock adds all the connectivity you could want, including HDMI for 1080p displays, three USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet, and headset jack. The optional Extender Box keeps conference tables clean and clutter-free. When you need to share a presentation, demo, or other content on your laptop, simply connect through the HDMI input built into SmartDock and begin presenting from your personal device. If you are looking for a meeting room solution, the SmartDock is definitely worth considering. Other solution available to demo include Logitech SRS, Polycom Group Series, Polycom Trio, Biamp Devio and Barco ClickShare. If you would like to demo...

Skype for Business (offered as part of the Microsoft Office 365 package) has become a popular method of communicating within and between companies, but until recently didn’t offer the telephone functionality. To enable calls outside your organization, you would need to be connected to the PSTN (public switched telephone network). There at two ways you can do this: Purchasing the PTSN Calling service add-on to Office 365 This is an add-on to Office 365, and means users will be homed in the cloud with no on-premises server deployment required. PSTN Calling allows you to search, acquire, and assign phone numbers to users in your organization so that users can make and receive phone calls with people inside and outside of your organization. There are international and domestic subscriptions available. Benefits: Cheaper and faster to get started. Pay one bill for all your communications. All the latest updates delivered automatically. Pick new numbers or port existing numbers. No need for any...
